98% of Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation Shippers are Direct Shippers and 2% are Freight Brokers!

I'll teach you how to make money (instead of spending it) by being an Independent Freight Brokerage Franchise.

Transportation of freight will always be a profitable investment in the United States so let me show you how to double, triple your investment every year!

I will teach you how to find shippers, and carriers. I will teach you how to close contracts with shippers, and carriers. I will teach you how to successfully move freight at a price that's profitable for you, the shipper and the carrier. I will teach you how to stay in compliance with Federal laws, and I'll show you my business model that makes at least 10% profit or more on every shipment dispatched.

This includes all the contracts and operating agreements that cost a lot of money for an attorney to draft (no model contracts or cut and pastes here). The logo, the company name, the domain name, and a website where shippers post their shipments and carriers come to find loads.

The freight brokerage industry is known for being highly competitive and fragmented. As a small provider in a large market, the company competes with other large brokerage firms and asset based trucking firms across the country.

Who we want as an Independent Freight Brokerage Franchise owner:

Profile of a Franchisee They have a desire to lead, build and empower their team. Do you have what it takes to bring an Independent Freight Brokerage Franchise business to your area?

If you were to start your own, depending on your personal credit, you could potentially spend three times what I'm asking, and you'd still struggle to get factoring established. I've got existing relationships with carriers that provide discounts against their public published tariffs. You won't get that when you open yours, not at first, anyway. Also, I've already done all the leg work. But best of all, there's not any waiting involved. You don't have to wait for the Federal government to decide to make your application a priority.

With the licensing process in effect now, you'll have to file form OP-1, and pay $300. Then, you'll be assigned a provisional MC number. Now, you use that provisional MC number to get a bond. That takes a while, and can be ridiculously expensive thanks to MAP-21 increasing the bond from $10,000 to $75,000. Now, you have to get your BOC-3 filed. Not too much, but still a cost. Finally, the FMCSA will approve or deny your application in about 60-120 days and you'll get your authority maybe. Now, you have to get your UCR out of the way before you can legally do business. Then you have to start a company from scratch.  Then you get to really start working (about 14-18 hrs a day) to search for shippers.  Carriers come along later!  Did you hire an attorney to write you’re shipper’s contract/shipping confirms and carrier’s contract/carrier confirms?  Now let’s don’t forget about the most important form (Your BOL and Shipper Invoice) without these you do not get paid.  Now you are really in trouble because if you do not have a good shippers contract/shippers confirm and the carriers contract/carriers confirm you could be sued and then you’re out of the freight brokerage business!  Now that you are starting you’re freight brokerage company from scratch the question is how long is it going to take to make any money or enough to make a living?  If you had a list of shippers you would have a great start.

With this route, we could close tonight; you could start operating in less than 30 days with everything ready to dispatch freight shipments. It’s that simple.

Business Owners Are Abandoning Logistics Agent Programs

CarrierDirect notes logistics agent programs dwindle as business owner’s move towards stronger platforms such as franchising.

Armstrong & Associates, Inc. is a supply chain management market research and consulting firm specializing in competitive benchmarking, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, logistics outsourcing, centralized transportation management programs, and supply chain systems evaluation and selection.  Armstrong & Associates publishes Who’s Who in Logistics and Supply Chain Management – The Americas and Who’s Who in Logistics and Supply Chain Management – International.

Armstrong & Associates, a third party logistics (3PL) consultancy firm, projected that the U.S. Logistics sector was the fastest growing part of the Transportation industry and was forecasted to total over $150B, accelerating at a rate twice that of the nation’s GDP growth.

The extraordinary size and growth of the industry attracts a wide range of professionals and entrepreneurs, some of whom have become extremely wealthy by carving out their niche in the industry.

As the industry has grown, many companies have begun offering hyped-up promises of ways to get rich through independent Agent programs that resell transportation services of the company.

As these programs have grown, it has become apparent that they rarely benefit the individual Agents but instead generally just the company offering the program.

The Agents that sign onto these programs are often stuck with situations where they receive a small portion of the profits but do the majority of the work to bring on and service new customers, all the while receiving a small portion of the profit.

In a recent whitepaper written on the subject (download this free whitepaper), CarrierDirect provides an overview of how many of these Agent programs operate and the various scenarios that have left them chasing a dream without the ability to build a business that creates any long-term wealth opportunity.

For a current Logistics Agent or someone from outside the industry enticed by the opportunity in Logistics they have a choice on the path they can go down.

The Agent model is quickly deteriorating in quality and standing among industry professionals. But, if the goals of the business professional are to build a small business that provides for “mailbox money” it may be a viable option. The clear alternative to an entrepreneurially-minded professional is in exploring Logistics Franchises.

Though, it’s important that Logistics Sales Agents or someone from outside the industry do their homework on Franchise opportunities before getting into a new program. We have been working on this project for two years.  Certainly not every Franchising opportunity is made alike and there are many companies that offer something “similar to being a Franchise” but without the rules and regulatory environment to protect the Franchisee.

Becoming a independent franchise freight broker in Logistics requires an investor’s mindset, can be an extraordinary and life-changing path.

So you’re interested in becoming a independent franchise freight broker? I’m sure you already know that being a broker in this industry can be extremely exciting: you have unlimited earning potential, the freedom to create your own hours and full control of your career! What you may not know is that the independent franchise freight broker world is full of unknowns and surprises, which is why many people choose to open a Renegade Freight Brokerage independent franchise freight brokerage instead of going in this business all alone. The business transports a wide variety of freight including construction, farm and fabrication components. The company is very well established in the industry with a reputation for knowledge and dependability.  This business is located in the Midwest, but only because the owners live there. The business could be run from any location.  We have over 11,000 registered shippers and over 8,000 registered carriers with 135 regular customers that call us first, with 65 of these as our main customers and that we do a lot of loads for.  On a normal business day we were posting an average of about 100 to 150 shipments out to carriers to be transported before the owner had his heart attack.

We have a very good reputation with our customers, so in any given year we will haul many loads for any one of these customers. New customers come via word of mouth mostly, and we do regular advertising. The office is as busy as we can be most days and we do have to turn away business every day. This would be a logical addition to a trucking business already specializing in freight transportation. There would probably be many synergies within your current office and this block of business could be acquired without adding a lot of employees.

You can net in excess of $100,000 to $300,000 + per year on a million dollars or more in gross sales working by yourself at HOME depending on how much you work.

Purchasing a independent freight brokerage franchise versus starting a new business has a number of benefits:

Have access to dedicated van, and flatbed leads also ... best bang for the buck you will ever get. Our rates are higher than most, because we do a better job than most ... no BS here just cold hard facts.

When considering your career options in the transportation and third party logistics (3PL) industries, despite the promises of logistics agent programs, owning your own independent freight brokerage franchise business really does beat being an agent.

Logistics agent programs have grown quickly in the last decade by offering entrepreneurs the chance to “be your own boss” by reselling transportation services while promoting unlimited earning potential and a low cost of entry. In reality, earning potential is capped for these agent programs mainly due to the high percentage of profits that the agent must give back to the company. And while the differences in up-front costs are important to note between the two options, training and support resources, the amount of gross profit you keep, and the long-term growth potential are equally as important points to consider when choosing your career path (and are often overlooked and downplayed when entrepreneurs and sales professionals are looking at independent freight brokerage franchise programs).

Why those other points are often overlooked? Because established franchisors like Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation offer unique benefits that logistics agent programs can’t. Here are just a few of the ways franchising trumps logistics agent programs:

A quick guide to help you determine if Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation franchise ownership is a good fit for you.

Would you like to start your own business but want to avoid long hours and exorbitant start-up costs? Take a closer look at why Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation franchise ownership could be the perfect solution for you.

Superior Experience - Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation has a track record of success from 1998 to 2016.

Notable Affordability - The start-up costs for a Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation independent freight brokerage franchise are relatively low. There's no expensive equipment or inventory to purchase, and in many cases an office-front isn't necessary, you can work from home.

Fees and contract arrangement

Three important payments are made to a franchisor: (a) a royalty for the trademark, (b) reimbursement for the training and advisory services given to the franchisee, and (c) a percentage of the individual business unit's sales (which Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation does not charge)

A franchise usually lasts for a fixed time period (Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation is a 5 year franchise, each 5 years require a renewal), and serves a specific territory or geographical area surrounding its location. One franchisee may manage several such locations. Agreements typically last from five to thirty years, with premature cancellations or terminations of most contracts bearing serious consequences for franchisees.

Franchise fees are on average 6.7% with an additional average marketing fee of 2% (Which Renegade Freight Brokerage & Transportation does not charge)

A franchise can be exclusive, non-exclusive or "sole and exclusive".

Although franchisor revenues and profit may be listed in a franchise disclosure document (FDD), no laws require an estimate of franchisee profitability, which depends on how intensively the franchisee "works" the franchise.

Various tangibles and intangibles such as national or international advertising, training and other support services are commonly made available by the franchisor.

According to the International Franchise Association approximately 44% of all businesses in the United States are franchisee-worked.

A license agreement defines the terms under which a resource or property such as petroleum, minerals, patents, trademarks, and copyrights are licensed by one party to another, either without restriction or subject to a limitation on term, business or geographic territory, type of product, etc. License agreements can be regulated, particularly where a government is the resource owner, or they can be private contracts that follow a general structure. However, certain types of franchise agreements have comparable provisions.

Each party to a franchise has several interests to protect. The franchisor is involved in securing protection for the trademark, controlling the business concept and securing know-how. The franchisee is obligated to carry out the services for which the trademark has been made prominent or famous. There is a great deal of standardization required. The place of service has to bear the franchisor's signs, logos and trademark in a prominent place.

The franchisee must carefully negotiate the license and must develop a marketing or business plan with the franchisor. The fees must be fully disclosed and there should not be any hidden fees. The start-up costs and working capital must be known before the license is granted. There must be assurance that additional licensees will not crowd the "territory" if the franchise is worked according to plan. The franchisee must be seen as an independent franchise. It must be protected by the franchisor from any trademark infringement by third parties.

Market Growth and Potential

No matter what the economy businesses will always need shipping.

Shipping is an integral part of the economy at virtually every level – from a global perspective down to local markets. Unlike many food or retail franchises, shipping and transportation may not be trendy, but it is extremely stable. And, given the global reliance on all forms of shipping and transportation, it's not as drastically affected by economic fluctuations as many other industries.

As companies continue to see an increase in their shipping volumes, the 3PL industry has grown significantly over the past decade. Transport Topics, the 'newspaper of trucking and freight transportation,' recently published an article about 3PL's growing role in our economy, citing that the 3PL market has grown to over $154 billion.

U.S. Freight Market

In 2009, the freight transportation system served 7.4 million business establishments, 117 million households and more than 89,000 government units. In recent years the freight transportation network has handled growth in domestic freight and increasing amounts of international freight shipments in response to large increases in U.S. international trade. Today, the U.S. freight industry market has grown to over $700 billion and is projected to grow by 63% to $1.3 trillion annually by 2024.

U.S. Express Market

The demand for overnight and small package shipping services also continues to increase. With the shifting focus to e-commerce, businesses' increased emphasis on information management and just-in-time systems that use small, more frequent deliveries, express shipping has grown to over $80 billion in the U.S. alone.

U.S. 3PL Market

Given businesses ever-increasing need for transportation management, the third party logistics (3PL) industry has progressed significantly in a relatively short period of time.
Shippers rely on 3PLs for numerous value-added services and discounts to increase efficiencies and decrease costs. Since 2000, the U.S. 3PL market has nearly tripled from $56 billion to $154 billion in 2014.
